open and view a QuoterNotes‚Ñ¢ file. Only one QuoterNotes‚Ñ¢ file can be open at a time. As such, if you have a QuoterNotes‚Ñ¢ file open, but you wish to open and view another, you must first close the current file before openning the new file.
Close File
close the currently open QuoterNotes‚Ñ¢ file. If you have a QuoterNotes‚Ñ¢ file open, and you wish to open and view another QuoterNotes‚Ñ¢ file, you must first close the current file before openning the new file.
Save File
save the text style and color changes made to the current QuoterNotes‚Ñ¢ file. This menu item is enabled only if you have made changes to the current file
Revert To Saved
throw away the text style and color changes made to the current QuoterNotes‚Ñ¢ file and restore the saved style and color. This menu item is enabled only if you have made changes to the current file
Convert File
convert a text file to a QuoterNotes‚Ñ¢ file and a QuoterNotes‚Ñ¢ file to a text file. If you have a text file that you wish to view, for instance, you need to first convert it to a QuoterNotes‚Ñ¢ file. That's because QuoterNotes‚Ñ¢ files store seek and
style information, in addition to the text. This menu item is disabled if a QuoterNotes‚Ñ¢ file is currently open. For more information on converting files, select the 'Convert File...' menu item and choose the 'Help' button within its dialog.
Preferences
specify application preferences, such as default quote window placement (where do you want the quotes to appear on your desktop?), conversion delimiters (what delimiters are you using for text file conversion?),
and random or sequential delivery of quotes (should the application select the next quote at random or in the order in which they appear in the file?).
Save Preferences
save the preferences specified in the 'Preferences...' dialog. This item is enabled only if changes have indeed been made in the 'Preferences...' dialog.
Quit
quit the application. If you have an open QuoterNotes‚Ñ¢ file and have made changes to that file, QuoterNotes‚Ñ¢ will ask you if you want to save the changes to the file before actually quitting.
